Library Arts Center and Stuff

Hey everyone. Just a quick update to let you know I have two pieces in this year’s Library Arts Center Regional Exhibit in Newport NH. Spirit of Trust and Dawn Dragon were both accepted and on display. This is an annual show that’s been a Newport arts staple decades. Way back when I lived in Newport, my Uncle Clint and I both entered that show frequently. In fact, it was the second juried show I had ever been accepted in. The first was a fantasy art show at the Springfield Historical Society in Springfield, Vermont. So if you happen to be in Newport, stop in and take a look. There are some amazing works of art there. And I still have my Dragon Twins carvings in the Rotunda at Dartmouth Hospital. That’s right at the Main Entrance, in the display case on the right side of the rotunda as you enter.

I’ve been working on some frame commissions lately. Yes, I do make frames. I’m a woodworker and an artist, so making frames in kind of a no brainer. I don’t really advertise that fact as much as I should, but I’ve never been good at self promotion. Anyway, once those commissions are wrapped up, I’ll be back to carving.

My Etsy store is woefully understocked right now. I have some leftover Santas and that’s about it. I’ll be adding to that some cat carvings, some small fantasy pieces, and other things in the near future. I’m also hoping to get into some more art shows this Summer. I’ll keep you posted on that.

As always, thank you for checking out my little carving blog. I really appreciate it.
