I recently completed a commission that I’ve been working on for quite a while. It’s titled Merlin and The Troubadour. It is a portrait of the founders of a children’s theater company dressed for a performance based on the famous King Arthur Legend. I’m very happy with how it came out. It is carved entirely by hand, in Cherry, and painted with oils. This particular portrait took a long time to create, and my friend who commissioned it has been so patient with me, he’s been an absolute saint. Now that’s it’s done, I’m very happy with how it came out. I think it was worth the wait!
